News

The School of Medicine is welcoming the Class of 2029 to its two campuses, including the inaugural class of students to its new Charlotte campus. Previously the largest U.S. city without a four-year medical school, the arrival of this first class of students marks a transformative step in expanding access to medical education and advancing health care innovation across the Southeast and beyond.

The Atlantic Coast Conference and its Board of Directors have announced that Wake Forest President Susan R. Wente will become Chair of the ACC Board of Directors beginning July 1. Wente has served as Vice-Chair of the Board since February 2024 and was first named to the Conference鈥檚 Executive Committee during the 2021-22 academic year.

Our 海角社区, N.C., campus houses an academic community of almost 9,000 students, with more studying at Wake Forest locations in Charlotte, Washington, D.C., and around the world. Our undergraduate liberal arts curriculum inspires a holistic approach to preparing graduate and professional school students.
